The meal plan I made last week went out the window on a few days, but the guidelines certainly helped me when I was stumped about what to make for dinner. If you make a meal plan or even if you don’t but you’re looking for some fun and delicious recipes to whip up, here are a few for you to choose from this week:
Breakfast Ideas
- Homemade Blueberry Scones– Trust me when I say you’ll thank me for this recipe because it blows those Starbucks scones out of the water. {Pin it for later}
- Cinnamon Buttermilk Waffles w/ Pecans – When your waffle just needs a little more oomph! {Pin it for later}
- Farmer’s Breakfast Skillet w/ Sausage and Eggs – This is one of my very favorite hearty breakfast meals. I’m full for hours! {Pin it for later}
- Spinach Power Smoothie – If you’re going to start your day with a smoothie, you might at well have one with “power” in the title, right?! {Pin it for later}
- General Tso’s Chicken – A lighter version of the original, but just as tasty. {Pin it for later}
- Easy Slow Cooker Taco Soup – I love this “set it and forget it” soup! {Pin it for later}
- Honey Chicken and Rice – One of my most pinned recipes, and once you taste it you’ll know why. {Pin it for later}
- Simple Lasagna Recipe – Going back to the classics is never a bad idea. {Pin it for later}
- Salt Potatoes – So simple, yet so good. They pretty much go with anything! {Pin it for later}
- Toasted Orzo with Spinach and Pine Nuts – This is so good I want to marry it. {Pin it for later}
- Kentucky Fried Chicken Cole Slaw – And sometimes I just sit there and eat this right from the fridge with a spoon. {Pin it for later}
- Fresh Pea Salad w/ Bacon and Chives – Everything’s better with bacon. So true of this salad. {Pin it for later}
- Fresh Pineapple Salsa – If you ever have a pineapple lying around, go make this. You won’t regret it. {Pin it for later}
- Whole Grain Raspberry Bars – They sound healthy but they taste as awesome as a cupcake. {Pin it for later}
- S’Mores Cookies – It’s too cold to build a campfire, so this will have to do. Not that I’m complaining about the alternative. {Pin it for later}
- Chex Party Mix – Make a big batch and then you can party like it’s the weekend all week long. {Pin it for later}
- Banana Pudding – A creamy dish of deliciousness. {Pin it for later}
- Raspberry Sorbet– If you’re craving something sweet but on the lighter side, here’s your solution. {Pin it for later}
- Peppermint Patty Brownies – Now what kind of dessert recipe list would this be if it didn’t include chocolate? {Pin it for later}
- Strawberry Pudding Cake – It has eggs in it, so it’s totally good for you. {Pin it for later}
Canning Recipe of the Week
Jalapeno Pepper Jelly: Although it does have a kick to it, don’t let the title scare you. This jelly is so good with some cream cheese and crackers, I could sit there and eat nothing else for hours. So go find yourself some jalapenos and give this a try. {Pin it for later}
What are YOU planning on making this week?
