I always wonder… Who takes care of your garden and animals when you travel? We only have one dog and its a small inconvenience to arrange his care when we go out of town – I can’t imagine if I had all the living things you do.
Mavis Butterfield says
My neighbor Hulda usually takes care of the chickens and Lucy goes to the Hunter’s house {they have 2 dogs that she adores}. 🙂
Sarah says
My precious grandma’s name was Hulda. Your neighbor must be awesome 🙂
Mavis Butterfield says
She is. 🙂

You could escape winter and come down to Tasmania and enjoy the gardening down here!!
(altho this season I am not promising summer to anyone… it can be t-shirt sweaty weather in the morning and hailing in the afternoon!!)
The poor garden is in stop start motion!!
Still, never a dull moment. Right now I am picking buckets of cherry plums which is slowly being turned into plum sauce or plum jam!
Really enjoy your site. I get so much pleasure out of feeding us (Husband, Cat, Chickens)(ok, not the cat so much… will have to take up more fishing for him) from what I grow in the garden (and barter off friends and family) Its great to see others doing the same kinds of things!
The soil down here is so good… mostly you throw in the plants you want and the garden just says “Here!! Food!!”
Have a wonderful New Year
Cheers
Lisa

Oh how nice it would be to be picking fruit right now. You are so lucky!
