A big giant THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to enter my giveaways series this year. The prizes for these giveaways were so much fun to put together and I hope that even if you didn’t win, you were able to scroll through some of the comments while entering and see what an awesome community we’ve built here on One Hundred Dollars a Month over the past 11 years.
When I started this blog 11 years ago I had no idea it would blossom into to this thriving, caring {virtual} neighborhood of like mined people. Well, mostly like minded. There will always be a few nutters that everybody shakes their head at. 😉
So THANK YOU. Thank you for being here and for making this blog so much fun to write every day! You are awesome.

Mavis’ Favorite Things Giveaway – Day – 1 Hand-forged Garden Tool Gift Set by Fisher Blacksmithing in Bozeman, Montana

Kimberly left the comment “Fav thing to grow hands down is tomatoes and cucumbers love them both equally those garden tools are gorgeous.”
Mavis’ Favorite Things Giveaway – Day 2 – Pie, Glorious Pie!
1 Winner
The question was: What is your favorite pie is and is it homemade, from a bakery or somewhere else?
Tanya replied “Growing up it was well known my mom could not cook BUT……she could bake, and boy oh boy could she make a good pie. My favorite she made growing up and still to this day is strawberry rhubarb. The sourness of the rhubarb matched with sweet little strawberries, both ingredients from the yard.
I always use her crust recipe and she handed down her handwritten pie recipes on little 3×5 cards. When rhubarb comes in to season I get giddy knowing I’ll be making this pie soon!”

And Tracey left this comment “Both my husband and I are working from home and still have our jobs, working for an understanding and supportive company. Our kids have also been home with us and as they are teens, I’m grateful for this time with them.
Our dog is living her best life with all her people here to take her for walks, rub her belly and eat part of our magical meal called “lunch”. Gardening this year was delightful – I was able to take my lunch breaks in my own back yard and I loved it. Life is simpler and more complicated all at the same time, but we’re here and it’s all ok.”

Thank you for doing this for your subscribers, Mavis. I quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago and I still have stretches where I want a cigarette. Knitting fingerless gloves and dishcloths got me through the cravings and continue to do so. I still get requests for gloves and washcloths. Thanks again Mavis.
